Is Blue Diamond Cookware Safe?

Last Updated on January 2, 2024 by Emily Anna

Blue Diamond is a great quality cookware set that can take your cooking technique to the next level. This single set is more than enough to cook a variety of dishes. For example, a cookware set from this brand I have in my kitchen has 20 pieces, including everything to start the cooking process.

When it comes to the usability of this set, pots and pans in this set have excellent heat conductivity, making cooking quick, easy, and even.

But keeping all these features and benefits aside, is blue diamond cookware safe for cooking?

I have been using this cookware in my kitchen for a couple of months; this is safe for cooking. Blue diamond features a nonstick ceramic coating. This coating is free from PFAS, PFOA, lead, and other harmful chemicals. Moreover, this ceramic coating does not leach into foods when its pans and pots are exposed to high heat.

However, to keep yourself safe, following the manufacturer’s instructions to ensure safe cooking is essential. Also, avoiding overheating is advisable; otherwise, it can damage its nonstick surface. Want to know more about the features, benefits, and cons of Blue diamond cookware? Keep reading this article till the end.

Pros of Blue Diamond Cookware:

This cookware offers several benefits, which are the following.

Toxic Free

Blue diamond cookware is made of chemical-free materials. Its nonstick coating is free from dangerous substances like PFAS, PFOA, Lead, and cadmium. So this cookware is safe and healthy to cook various types of dishes.

Excellent Heat Distribution

This cookware is made of aluminium, making it highly durable but unlike copper. Besides durability, aluminium is an excellent heat conductor. This means pots and pans in this set heat up quickly and evenly, allowing efficient and consistent cooking. Moreover, having a good heat conductor provides better control over cooking temperatures.

Set Includes Everything

The blue diamond cookware set in my kitchen consists of 20 pieces. This set includes the following cookware items:

  • 1 5.5 inches frying pan
  • 1 8 inches frying pan
  • 1 10 inches frying pan
  • 1QT Saucepan
  • 2QT Saucepan
  • 11 inches Saute pan
  • 5QT Stockpot
  • Cookie sheet
  • Square cake pan
  • Round cake pan
  • 1LB Loaf Pan
  • 12 cup muffin pan
  • 2 Nylon utensils
  • Mesh skimmer
  • Steamer plate

Having these items in the kitchen means you’ve everything to get started cooking without needing to buy anything separately.

Easy to Clean

Many cooking chefs, like me, hate cleaning the cookware. But when cookware has a nonstick surface, cleaning is much easier, like a breeze. Over time, I tried many cookwares that made the cleaning process a bit harder. But Blue Diamond is super easy to clean because of its nonstick surface.

Affordable Price

When it comes to price, no one can beat it at an affordable price. I purchased this 20-piece cookware set for $139. On the other hand, the Gotham steel 20-piece set is available at $185, and the Granitestone Nonstick Pots and Pans Set with 20 PCs is available at $249. Also, some cheap cookware sets are available in the same quantity, like the EETEE 20PCS Nonstick set for $129.

Cons of Blue Diamond Cookware:

Not Truly Nonstick

This cookware has a nonstick surface because of its ceramic coating, but the pans in this set are not genuinely nonstick. For example, some foods stick to the surface during cooking.

Handles Got Heat Up Quickly

Handles are essential for pans and pots, as they help hold the cookware during cooking. Therefore, handles should be heat resistant so they can be easily handled while cooking. However, when it comes to Blue Diamond cookware, its handles are not resistant, and they get hot quickly.

Not Scratch Resistant

Despite its beautiful appearance and design, Blue Diamond cookware is not scratch-resistant. Pots and pans in this set can easily scratch. This means this cookware cannot withstand utensil contact, which results in visible scratches over time.

Is a blue diamond cookware oven-safe?

Blue diamond cookware is oven-safe at a specific temperature, depending on the model. You can use your blue diamond cookware to make delicious meals in the oven without worrying about damage or safety hazards.

Is blue diamond cookware dishwasher safe?

Blue diamond cookware is safe to put in the dishwasher, but it’s essential to take some precautions when cleaning it. Before placing the cookware in the dishwasher:
Remove any excess food or debris from the surface. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive scrubbers, as they can damage the nonstick coating of the cookware.
Once you’ve finished washing it, let the cookware cool down before removing it from the dishwasher.

Blue Diamond is a great cookware set for all your cooking needs. This cookware with 20 20-piece collections has everything needed for all cooking requirements. Pots and pans in this set have outstanding heat conductivity, ensuring quick, easy, and even cooking.

When safety is a top priority, Blue Diamond has a chemical-free ceramic nonstick coating that provides a toxic-free cooking experience. Besides, all cookware items in this are easier to clean because of their nonstick surface. However, despite these benefits, this cookware also has drawbacks.

For example, its surface is not 100% nonstick, as some foods stick during cooking. Also, it handles heat up quickly and lacks a scratch resistance feature.
